A Chant Card for the Heart Sutra, the
Prajnaparamita
used for services at the SFZC in it's early days.
This card was printed for the May 20, 1962 Shinsanshiki, or Mountain Seat
Ceremony, officially installing Suzuki as the abbot of Sokoji, the Soto Zen
temple at 1881 Bush Street in San Francisco.
(There was another card later, as I remember
it, that was only two sides. This one folded open. Translation by Shunryu
Suzuki. Thanks to Ken Spiker for saving it all these years and sending us this
